any roland mks (minus the piano modules)

and yes, you could just buy some really nice reverbs and get any synth just fed through that..

agreed, thats some top notch synth playing there! got that right, god damn it :D What I read is that David Frank came up with the band name from how Oberheim was marketing their OB-Xa/8, DMX & DSX as "The System" which is what he used for the session work he did with bands before forming the group ...
