Thanks for the demos. Again. What I'm wondering if the M-resonator could be tamed, I don't really have use for extreme filtering this (and the Sherman) seems capable of. I seem to remember that you(?) said that it's really easy to go wild with this. Too unconventional, maybe? Maybe I should, uh, se...

Oh yes, you can draw waveforms on a Fairlight. Moreover, Page 4 provides additive synthesis . I don't think this latter feature was used much though. Page 6 Waveform Drawing Allows for drawing or alteration of a waveform with the lightpen IIRC here's a demonstration of the drawing: http://youtube.c...

Shipping heaaaavy stuff (abroad, electric pianos)
I was just wondering, has any one of you, fellow europeans (or somewhere else) bought a fender rhodes for example from ebay (U.S.) and had it shipped to your country? How much did it cost, which service did you use and how did you have it packed (crate or cardboardbox?) I'm thinking about picking up...

any updates js? should I get one? I'm not sure...to be honest, I bought it, tried it out, liked it...but then when I went to use it again, the right channel didn't work anymore. I'm sending it to EH tomorrow for repair. It is not a magic box and it doesn't color really...but it does add something t...

Sure, for studio use not the best, but for live use when the noise is a little bit less important, no problem. I should add, I have seen several "name brand" artists use Behringer live. One thing I really liked about my Behringer was that it was small. The smallest 10 channel mixer on the market, w...

I'm hoping the 808 will be the better choice overall as it just demolishes the electribes in polyphony and sample storage time.. but I really wish the 808 would have the ESX effect engine, if it had, the 808 would be the only piece of kit I'd ever need :) doesn't the ESX have an input? can't you ju...

I had one, regret selling it though :( .. but I don't regret getting $500 for it :D anyways, it's a great synth for ($200MAX), hard to program+boring and it's very noisy :? plus, the electricity always cuts out (I've tried 2 and it did on both, and no I didn't have the "auto-power-off" function on ;))

Could you take 2 evolvers and put the outputs from one into the input pf the other as the input osc - and then set this up as all digital oscs (4 in total) and have a pseudo VS by playing with the osc levels? No vector but how could you fake it? From the Dave Smith site: Multiple Evolvers can be da...
