Fatso demo (I'm renting one)

Ok - this thing works. I have yet to track, but I used it as a buss compressor on the final mix of THJ. Technical details: Both tracks are processed with a Kjaerhus Classic Master Limiter for about 1-2 dB of gain reduction, and they have a tiny bit of stereo widening. This processing is on the final...

Go play on a V-Synth for a while.
In some ways, the V-Synth may in fact be the sickest thing they've done.

I found a great demo of the Culture Vulture over at gearslutz... http://www.gearslutz.com/board/work-progress-advice-requested-show-tell-artist-showcase/18994-sound-clips-culture-vulture.html Also - I'm renting a Fatso for the week to do some buss stuff, and, if I have time, tracking. I can post bef...

If you ran the FB w/ no FM or AM, and put the tracker on, with filter set to a resonant highpass, you could probably get some good results bass-wise. After messing with it...there are many ways. I think this thing is going to work out. So much better than the Metasonix stuff...alot more musical, va...

RAM should only be an issue for you if you're running some heavy audio processing. MIDI sequencing uses very little.
I was running cubase on a pc w/ 256mB of ram for the longest time, and it was only when I got running a lot of VSTs on a 12+ track mix that I would start feeling it.

Re: Magic Box of  "Warmth" for Elektrons?

... it's just that sometimes things are a bit too harsh in the highs and a bit too thin in the lows and plug-in EQs (Logic) are a bit too sterile for my taste (great for cutting, generic for adding). It's not what you're asking for, but you should check the free Pushtec and Electri-Q eqs. They are ...

We recently had the discussion of panning bass. Pan away if you aren't pressing to vinyl. But remember that producing bass requires a lot of energy and two speakers working will give you more volume than just one. Also, very low frequencies are not perceived as being from any particular direction; ...

I dunno - On bass tracks I like a bit of send to a master (stereo) reverb to place it properly in the mix.
I always wonder if I'm just being unadventurous by not doing some serious panning with bass - there isn't the limitation of groove jumping any more...

I wish that Bananalogue would get back from whatever else they were doing and make some more modules.
