The Mk1 distortion is great. Once the input is past 12 o'clock, you get a very nice overdrive which works well with the filters.

Not a synth, but the Ebbe und Flut.
And although it takes some learning, the Elektron stuff is one big sweet spot. Particularly the MDUW.

http://ookpikk.googlepages.com/Cosmicfreckleout.mp3 It's 96k...apologies. Makoto Kawabata has the most cosmic beard I've ever seen. I hope I rock that much when I'm in my late 50s. There was this moment in the middle of one of the AMT songs where they reached this point of total transcendence, the s...

I took some Acid Mothers Temple and Autechre home with me

Having seen these two shows, and becoming aware of just how awesome the elektron gear is when played really loud, I made some cosmic s**t. It's the first play at

No change, although I'm still trying to figure out a way to fit a polyevolver into my house. I think that any gear that hasn't helped me write music, I've sold (ESX, Micron, uQ, uWaveXT, M-Res, Ph16, Filterqueen), and the stuff I've really connected with stays. I don't make impulse purchases - if I ...
