BTW those EMX/ESX do sound good I always like playing with them in the store, don't care to much for the presets. I'll wait till they come down in price in the used market, then stock up on them to sell them for more :twisted: Others here don't agree with me that the drum sounds on the EMX-1 are us...

ECC style tubes ( 12AX7, 12AT7, 12AU7, etc) are compatible, but I don't think there's much voltage going into them unlike "proper" tube pres. Do you know what tube they slapped inside? maybe it's some other kind and you do the unexpected hehe From what I can see... there are 2 x Electro Harmonix 12...

Many of the newer Roland ROMplers have all the sounds from their famous drum machines. My Roland RS-5 has both 808, 909 and 606 drumsets, nicely laid out across the keybed, so it's easy to set up a MIDI drumtrack and play it through the synth. Voila, oldschool drums. But do they sound right? I mean...
