I must be missing something... but wouldn't the most sensible option be something with more than two tracks and something that was designed with drums in mind?

Hardware is much more fun no question.. I have been using my computer and different soft samplers for some years and like NI Battery the most for drums and beat making. I'm satisfied with that. The reason I wanted The mpc 500 or the 404 was because of there's portability. I need something while I'm...

HrBak... the SP-404 is very limited, but easy to use. I think it is a better scratchpad then the MPC500...the MPC500 requires too much menu diving IMHO... I've owned both. Thanks.. I went to the local music store the other day and checked both out. My conclusion were that I didn't wanted any of the...

I have no idea why people like the EA-1 :?:
It's simple and effective and cheap... and I could care less if it sounds like a 303.

Re: one line synth reviews

boss dr110 - if people new the snare and cymbals you had you'd sell for so much more (poor mans 808) The prices are going up steadily... but since it has no midi or din sync (or truly famous users)... my guess is it will never be priced like a TR-606. I can't do this type of list... it would be hug...

Re: a table top sampler search for under 200

a boss 303 would be great for this. You should be able to get one on ebay easily for under $200. I got one a bit over a year ago for around $160 shipped. Just make sure to buy one that comes with a memory card because you will want one and smart media cards are expensive and hard to find on their o...
