here (in arizona, usa) it really depends on the size of the venue and their income, but it seems to be becoming more and more standard for a venue to have subs live.

you check the box on the left side of the screen under the category "show only" called "Completed listings". you have to be logged in, but it the best way to judge current ebay trends if you care about those sorts of things.

Also, M-Audio audio interfaces (FW or USB) have drivers that are very stable, and work harmoniously with Ableton Live/Reason and/or entry level ProTools software.
