I suggest you ask them. I don't really think of Dave and Chris as "manufacturers" more "enthusiasts" and I think they'll give you feedback from their own testing.

Star Trek?? You give it too much credit! Star Trek was cool... It's more like a campy shot from "Buck Rodgers in the 21st Century". You know the one... The really bad 80's show where they dance in sync to a single guy playing a box. Oh, but then there was Wilma (Erin Gray) WOOOO HOOO!!! Love them s...

I've seen complaints that midi is a bit sluggish so I suppose using an CSQ might actually make it more perfect than Cubase in step mode.

Other than step mode I don't quantise any of my stuff...I basically use Cubase as an improved tape recorder.

yes, I think it's the latency/buffer thing.

sometimes you get it when you have overloaded the PC if you've loaded up lots of soft synths etc. Occaisionally an individual soft synth gives a problem but from your description it sounds like something else.

Hi, no I haven't. I wasn't sure if it was my imagination! But I'll try it again and if I think it's still happening I'll let him know.

If you want a cheap basic sequencer, have a think about the Roland CSQs..they seem to be really cheap. Digital but simple to use, but monophonic only.

Leeroy, are you saying they can be permanently damaged by rough handling..or that they simply need to be turned slowly to work properly?

As a PPG hardware user, I have to agree that Hermann Seib's WaveSim is the better sounding of the emulations. The filter on the Waldorf version has a better sound, but the rest is totally accurate. Have you noticed that Hermann's emulation doesn't sound quite right if sequenced? It sounds to me as ...

still doesn't work. How bizarre. I've never seen that message before either. I wonder if there is something in the tagging that means it's banned here..whatever that's so odd.

I have the Moog Modular but not the Mini Moog emulation. Basically the difference is the same as with the hardware, the Modular is more complicated to work with but has much more scope..e.g 9 oscillators (I think) compare to 3, several filters compared to one, plus it has a ring modulator and freque...
