Re: G-g-g-groove boxes!!!
Yeah, the MP-7 would get it done. There are still a lot of synth presets and lots of editing can be done. If you end up wanting more sounds, the XL-7 rom is usually only around $100 on Ebay. I'd also recommend the composer rom if you want all the bread & butter sounds and then some for cheap. That's...

Yes on both.____ wrote:
The E-mu command stations are really interesting though, do they have TR style step input? Also is it possible to record knob turns like with the electribes? I tried to find some information but I've yet to scour youtube yet.

There's also the Yamaha RS7000 which is sort of a beefed up RM1X with sampling capabilities. They usually sell for a couple hundred less than the MC-909.

The EM-1 imo, based primarily on ease of use.

Re: Yamaha DX7 vs. Yamaha DX11
That's what the battery does. If the battery is ok you can store patches.Slashe50 wrote:Yeah, the battery works and all the keys function normally.
But there's no internal memory that I can store patches on without a RAM4 or RAM5?

Re: Yamaha DX7 vs. Yamaha DX11
It's going for $150, and it's in almost mint condition. So should I go for it? Does the internal battery still function because that is the most common issue with these after so many years. If not it needs to be desoldered out and replaced to store your own patches unless you can find a ram4 or ram...

+1. $60 for a battery powered analog synth that sounds anything like an MS anything under any conditions is a steal. This thread is full of stupid.space6oy wrote:they're just 60 bucks, anyone who wouldn't drop twice that for one w/ midi is an idiot.

Re: New Ebay BBcode - Embed Ebay Items in Your Posts!
One minor deal with the Ebay button. It doesn't show that the item is available as Buy It Now........ so if you're selling with a Buy It Now of say $249, it looks as if $249 is the starting bid and potential buyers just hit the back button because they think your starting bid is too high. I think it...

Re: New Roland and/or Korg synths using REAL analog filters?
How much wailing and gnashing of teeth is there going to be when people discover it's not actually the same filter as in an MS-10 or 20? I predict: A lot. Korg is basically saying it's the same filter http://www.korg.com/Product.aspx?pd=571 Pretty shady of Korg imo. Still, for under $70 I won't com...

For the price I'm sold on the Monotron, but can it also do not so squelchy things? I'd like to see a synth bass demo......
