What's up with these online DJ stores?
I'm sure most of you have come across them. They usually have brand new items that have been discontinued by the manufacturers(sometimes years ago) at pretty low prices. I've noticed that most don't list a telephone number. I've read up on some and it seems that a lot of people have said that they j...

Re: Mopho Keyboard version
OK, non detented encoders. That's my biggest gripe about the Evo and Mopho. I don't like the damn knobs. It takes far too long to go from min to max. Spin them fast enough, and the DO jump. Shoulda kept my Emu Xboard! The Mopho uses the detented encoders too? That's one of the main reasons I ditche...

Re:
they just slide off (and too easily--i lost the volume knob the first night i had the MEK) hehe, that's the favorite part of the synth for my 2,5 yo nephew  kind of his first time synth lego. I had a desktop Evolver and I just couldn't get into it because the knobs were "notched" or whatever y...

Re: Quick Mono Evolver KB question
... Are all of the knobs notched like the desktop model....click click click click(horrible for tweaking imo)? Do you mean clicky in feel or the sound? Im guessing you mean the sound. I haven't used the desktop model but i used to have a PEK and I now have an MEK. The encoders definitely step or zi...

Quick Mono Evolver KB question
2 questions actually. Are the knobs as plasticky as the desktop model? Are all of the knobs notched like the desktop model....click click click click(horrible for tweaking imo)?

I think that's terrible to be honest. Nothing worse than another menu driven laptop screen in a box, analog or notxpander wrote: now what Roger Linn is up to is really cool- he's taking the high-end drum machine/sampler by storm, his latest concept picture has a large flip up screen in it!

Power cord question IEC/EIC
I just got this WarpFactory and in the manual it says it uses an EIC power cable. Is this a misprint or are there IEC and EIC cables? I'm using a standard computer monitor type cable and the unit powers up(the power led lights) but none of the other leds light up and I can't get any sound. Am I usin...

Re: Using an Mbase1 with an Electribe
You need to set the Electribe kick part to trigger C1 (= the corresponding midi note number). If I understand correctly, the mbase when set to split mode 1 only will only respond to C1. 4.2. Split Mode < SM1 / SM2 > <SM1> The bass drum is only played by standard note C1 with the internally stored p...

Using an Mbase1 with an Electribe
I was thinking about picking up an Mbase1, but I wanted to make sure there won't be any issues with triggering it from an ESX. The electribes sequence drums parts with drum note numbers on a single midi channel, what is there to stop every drum note from triggering the Mbase1 at different pitches wh...
