Re: Electribe Questions
I sawpped mine out with JJ ECC83 S. I can crank the tube gain now and there's a lot less grungy distortionipassenger wrote:+1 ESX it's great, much better than the none (X) models. I have and ER1 and borrowed an ES1 for a good while.
OT: Anyone swapped their tubes yet (ESX)? Does it help with the noise floor?

Are Nord Rack 1 outs assignable?
I know the Nord Rack 1 only has stereo outs, but can you assign a different synth part to each out? Example synth 1 to left out, synth 2 to right out and use them as 2 mono outs?
EDIT: Nevermind, I found the manual right here on VSE
and yes they are assignable

Re: Korg Karma questions, thoughts?
if you can swing it, get. karma's are great fun, and i sold mine for more than i paid for it. everyone should get to play w/ karma for at least a little while. :) that's kind of what I'm thinking. I'm not in a hurry to get one really, but it's on the list of gear I need to at least try. The concept...

Korg Karma questions, thoughts?
I've done some research but I'd like to get a first hand opinion or 2. I was thinking about getting a Karma to replace an RM1x for sequencing and the added benefit of a full sized keyboard, better sound, and the phrase generating stuff looks pretty intriguing too. Would I be losing anything in terms...

Re: Korg Poly 800 key not sounding?
cool, sounds simple enough. Hopefully the key is easy to get at. #-o Should be only a matter of removing the spring and popping the key off. The hardest part with be taking the case apart to get to everything. You may want to try spraying the cleaner down under the key and to the sides of the key b...

Korg Poly 800 key not sounding?
I have a Poly 800 with one key that is not triggering the note. It does play it over midi though. Could it be that the contact just needs to be cleaned? if so, how is this done? Other possibilities? Thanks.

cool :) are you over at the korg forums too? a lot of discussion around the tubes at that forum :) Now please don't post any more about the EMX, I'm having enough GAS as it is atm ;) Hopefully that tube issue wasn't as bad as I imagined in the beginning, they just don't put the best into the machin...

Re: Novation K-Station
If this synth had an Access or Waldorf nameplate on it it would probably be selling for between $750-$1000. If it had an access or waldorf nameplate on it, it would have been equiped with more than just LP filters. true, but it's still an amazing value. The fact that Microkorgs routinely fetc...
