f**k the naysayers. I say if you know what you're doing, then go for it. Start with what you think you can handle and see what happens.

Definately. I can shake cement walls with the MS2000.

To those who wish the prophet 8 was multi-timbral: For god's sake it's a low priced analog polysynth. If you want a multimbral synth get a VA........or a modular. Better yet, get 2 prophet 8s and MIDI them together, BTW we should be thanking Dave Smith for even having invented MIDI instead of compl...

How does it sound?

Proteus 1000 or JV 1080

Which rompler has better sound and/or is better/more versatile overall and why? I'm leaning towards the Proteus 1000 because it has real time knobs, more MBs of sound potential(64 to 42 on the JV) and it's slimmer(1 rackspace to 2 on the JV). I guess it all comes down to which one sounds better.

I also need something like this. Could somebody please post a link where I can actually buy one. I've asked this before and all anybody could come up with was a bunch of links to discontinued products. I would think these would be really common.

Patch info only, it's not a ROM(Sample) based synth

Thanks

I would do this rather than sell both. The va synth sounds on the EA1 are a lot better than the sampled waveforms on the EM1. You can hear some EM1 demos here http://www.korg.com/gear/info.asp?a_prod_no=EM1

Probably Novation for me, based on my experience with the Bassstation and my new found interest in the DrumStaion. Lots of bang for the buck.

Do you have the owners manual to the Boss GT-6? If so, look in the back where the Midi Implementation charts probably are and you can see what data it transmits over midi. Probably listed as Program Change.
