+1 on the ESQ-1. Some stuff anyway. I swear I made a sound that was straight out of Gauntlet for the NES. Here's a few really cheap ways to get great sounds, especialy with a sampler: Nintendo Gameboy Camera - 3 part sequencer (two tone parts and a noise source) with some sfx, etc. C64 Music Machine...

Wow. Fidelity would be great! Does anything like that exist. I mean, I know a bunch of tricks to make stuff sound shitty, but an all-in-one box would be great.

That's always sort of annoying, but to me I mostly just play around with midi so it's no big deal. I have a very few tracks with lots of synced gear. Currently: Korg ER-1 out>in Korg EA-1 thru>in Commodore64 thru>in Siel MDP-40 ---------- the same Korg EA-1 out>in Roland HS-64 also Ensoniq ESQ-1 out...

...oh and somehow all 3 channels on my peavy KB100 blew out :? aparently it didnt like leaving my house or something but i found a way around it, if i plug a cable in half way to the pre EQ patch it still works...its just VERY LOUD :shock: much louder than it ever was when it worked. go figure...
