Micron and sequencing external hardware
I owned one long ago, but sold it due to my inability to grasp subtractive synthesis at the time, however I do fondly remember the sequencer. Anyway is it possible to sequencer external hardware with the micron? In other words do the onboard sequencers, arps, and drum sequencers actually send midi? ...

Re: PAiA expands the 9700 series
I guess this means one could purchase the newly available 9745k mixer module and prevent the nasty overloading of the paia 9700 filters by the VCOs?

Hehehe, very cool.polyklinik wrote:don't use for pianos, brass, and other acoustic emulation. it's a glitch machine and maybe a pad machine, but the pads are little bit outdated sounding. also good for sub basses.

I'm sorry, but if I don't start seeing some harsh unwarranted criticism, I'm afraid we'll have to ask you to leave.

Re: Dumbest thing you've ever heard someone say about synths
I always thought it was dumb when rock bands in the 70's and 80's would put big disclaimers in their LP's: "No Synthesizers Were Used." People still do that. Guitarists. I know Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine always made a huge deal about " no synths were used... ", like it is supposed to b...

Re: Nord Modular - does it require a dedicated PC ??
I also run it under vista with no problems. I've run the editor in windows 98 and xp as well. I've got Nomad running under ubuntu, but its a bit buggy, for instance it screws up the assignment of morph groups. Also I could only get it started by using the terminal. The lowest end machine I've run th...

Re: over-consumerism
I can't really justify owning really expensive gear. After mixing down 2 albums with the Polar, I just realized I could have made most any of those sounds with the V or something as simple as a lower end Korg without only a negligible amount of extra work. Multi timbral? Total Integration? MIDI? f*...

Re: Behringer BCR2000 or Encore Electronics' Knobby?
Well I got the Knobby yesterday and I have to say I like it so far. The software is pretty straight forward for assigning midi cc to the knobs, but I haven't used the sysex and other options. The build quality seems pretty good, the case is all metal and has a pretty good heft to it. The knobs are f...

Urgent Virus C LFO 3 question
Ok I had a virus c and I'm trying to figure out if LFO 3 was limited to only modulating the following parameters in a non-simultaneous manner(unless used in the mod matrix). OSC 1 pitch or OSC2 pitch or both OSC1 and 2 pitch or OSC1 PWM or OSC2 PWM or OSC1 and OSC2 PWM or sync phase Basically I'm wo...

Re: Behringer BCR2000 or Encore Electronics' Knobby?
I just ordered a knobby yesterday, I'll let you know what I think of it when it arrives. I'm going to use it to control my micro modular and later I'll attempt to have it control the fm section on my sy22, although I won't be able to do the later in real time. The behringer was just too damn big for...

Considering western civilization is getting fatter by the minute I'd think guys like these would be in short supply. I was hoping we'd all be too lethargic to create such hyperactive abominations.

Quick virus c psu question.
Ok, I now own a virus c desktop. Needless to say I'm quite fond of it and its the most expensive piece of gear I've ever owned. Because of the later I'm naturally a little concerned about the some what dubious looking power supply that was provided with it. The plug doesn't exactly fit into the viru...
