The Casio VL-Tone is a great bass synth. I used it in my band today and put it through a flanger, delay and chorus unit. The sound was just stunning. For such a tiny little unit, it has a HUGE sound.

It can split. Not only that, you can mix the volume of each part (!) at both ends of the keyboard. This version HAS bass.

I got a string synth

I got a Crumar Multiman in good 100% working order: http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n160/analoguecrazy/HPNX0035.jpg This is a wonderful synth. The sound is so rich and warm and the keyboard split is ace. I love the bass sound - very powerful. The brass is great. It sounds as warm as those strings...

I did not find the CS-30 to be too thin. Its a great synth. What i love about the 40m is the 2 shine wave sub-oscillators. These mean that in HP mode you still get massive power behind the buzzy sounds. I think that 4 VCO's going through HP filter, with 2 subs, is one of the biggest and thickest sou...
