I suppose on second thought I really wouldn't mind the little keyboard to have at work... I don't think I can put my ozonic on the desk in a way my employer would think looked "professional" while this one would hide behind the laptop itself quite nicely. I work at a tourist bureau, so 90% of the "w...

the control one (with no pads or keys) is the only one that really interests me personally though.

my imac came with leopard pre-installed and while i had some problems getting stylus to install live itself has been rock solid. Well the 10.5.3 update seems to have fixed a lot of the problems discussed here...... http://createdigitalmusic.com/2008/05/21/leopard-audio-woes-and-digidesign-1052-is-a...

are you on windows or mac? Motu has a better rep on the mac side.

Also... USB2? Why did you go for that over firewire? Firewire is superior for audio in my experience.

what's you OS version?

Does this happen while the airport is turned off?

Something to do with airport updates have made them somewhat unreliable when doing audio. I guess this was fixed in an update to leopard, I don't know what the situation is in tiger.

anyone here have any experience with echo audio, or specifically the audiofire 12? it looks to be exactly what I wanted in the beginning... Nothing but line ins and outs... 12 each. For 600 bucks.

PPG Wave 2.V for the PPG emu.

For synclavier... Yeah, octopus is great for additive/fm hybrid sounds... Maybe chameleon 5000 for the more in depth additive stuff and resynthesis?

Edit: Morgana is an emulation of the whole vintage sampler thing... Not a synclavier though.

quantum leap goliath is like the massive library korg and such wished they could fit into their mediocre-sized ROM cards.

There's also NI Kontakt, which a lot of people use for sample based things, and CronoX from linplug, which can really manipulate the samples.

Yeah... It basically comes down to the cheaper firewire option (motu 828) or the more expensive expresscard option (multiface II) How does chaining motu interfaces work? I know it just uses firewire, but is it basically just a built in 2-1 firewire hub, or does it actually lock the clock between the...

Also: Mitch, If you spring on the RME multi face with express card... let me know how it treats you. I'm trying to decide on an interface and I've used the Multi face before... just not with a macbook pro/expresscard. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it works if I get it. It might not be for a...
