Re: Waldorf Streichfett

I'm guessing it might just be a chorus (which could then be applied to the Rocket)... but it would certainly be nice if it was a standalone stringer!

So here, instead of "excellent condition", we have "fully functional", when one function doesn't actually work... love it :headbang:

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

There seems to be a general trend of calling things "excellent/perfect/minty" condition, despite whatever flaws/technical issues actually exist. Case in point: http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/msg/4350183900.html SH-1 in "excellent" condition, aside from the two giant, f**k cracks in the case!

Re: Gear Trading Thread

Have a Cheetah MS-800 digital wavetable synth (with rack ears!) that I'm interested in trading for some equally weird, wonky. I'm specifically after some oddball programmable analog drum machines (Amdek, Clef), but would entertain other trades for interesting stuff

Not really a bargain in any sense--if the PG-1000 hadn't worked, you'd have been paying the exact same price (or less) for one that did work.

Re: Korg MS-20 Kit

$1400 doesn't make a damn bit of sense. You can get a vintage MS20 for around $1200 these days. If the kit was under $1k, it'd probably be worth it. Early/Old filters selectable via INTERNAL switch is kinda interesting. Despite clearly being prescient of customer-wants, I'm sure Korg aren't scourin...

Re: Moog Sub 37, finaly a new poliphonic Moog?

Best Moog since the Mini? :headbang: In terms of features, maybe... but definitely not in terms of sound. I agree this looks like a really awesome modern Moog--maybe the best they've done so far--but given its innards are essentially the same as a Lil' Phatty, it's still not going to sound like the...

Re: New Elektron Machine

An all-analog elektron drum machine doesn't hold a ton of appeal with me (especially since it looks like the A4 already is pretty capable as a drum machine), but sampling would be awesome (if unlikely).

Re: New stuff from Roland!

If it in fact turns out to be an analog recreation of the ol' 808, I'll most certainly NOT buy it. Serz? I can't think of another more hackneyed idea than another sampled or modeled drum machine that "models" 808/909 sounds... like, if I never heard another 909 sound ever again, I would be ok. "ana...
