On the sustain pedal itself, i merely just reversed the wires to the switch. I figured this out after using a dual-footswitch that had two inputs and one was inverted. It's awesome that we just had the c**p laying around...

OB-8 arpeggiator in unison mode?
Forgive my recent ignorance... I have never been able to get the arp working in unison mode. Only plays one note. I figured this was just how it is. But then I see totally different synths like the Polysix that are able to do an arp in unison, so I started thinking mine was just messed up... Am I bl...

Re: Buying a JX8P w Issues...
You can reload the patches via midi. I had one that had a broken pitch bend lever also but it still worked. What does "broken upper octave" mean? Broken key(s) in the upper octave, or missing all the voices in the upper octave? I'd find that out first. JX-8P is a cool synth, but if you have to dump ...

OB-Xa sustain pedal function?
I'm going crazy... Is it just not possible to use a sustain pedal to hold notes like a damper pedal would do? I read that the hold input accomplishes this but that sucks because it latches... I understand the sustain input works differently than a normal sustain would from a pedal but... There has t...

Re: Cleaning mouse piss off a PCB?
Yeah I scrubbed the boards with some distilled water and spent the better half of a day drying them with an air compressor (not oil based) before leaving them to dry on their own the remainder of the day. Everything is back in place and functional. There are some minor issues but they were present b...

Re: Cleaning mouse piss off a PCB?
That is not as bad as the Ampeg V4B I had last month! It was full of turds and piss and huge nest it was gross. I washed my hands 30 times that morning. It was literally dripping off the power tubes and smelt like fish and I got some on my hands before I realized what it was. I told the customer th...

Cleaning mouse piss off a PCB?
I got a Moog Opus 3 in for repair that has unfortunately been ravaged by mice at one point. I opened it up to find a huge mouse nest/mouse s**t/chewed wires/piss-covered PCB... http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7001/6592011191_72f849728c.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7013/6592012359_55085921f2.jpg S...

Re: Service manual resource? Yamaha Electone E-70
Anyone even know anything about the E70? I have a problem with the Lower Orchestra; no volume coming through from the actual voices, but can hear it slightly if you listen carefully...

Service manual resource? Yamaha Electone E-70
Just picked up a Yamaha E-70 organ (pic at www.vintagekeyboardstudio.com) and it's working pretty well with the exception of a bunch of key contacts and some general maintenance needed. I know I've seen people on here who have owned these, and I wondered if anyone had a resource for a download-able ...

Re: SOLVED: Rhodes nasty buzz/hum...?
Well I solved the problem.... Weirdest thing ever. Apparently the TV in the other room was causing the issue. Must be on the same circuit now that I moved the Rhodes to a different end of the room so that was the difference. It was lucky that I figured it out, because I was sitting there with my hea...

Re: Rhodes nasty buzz/hum...?
It is weird.
And yeah, I definitely changed the cable a few times, tried different adapters, etc. I will have to check with a multimeter I guess, but I just can't imagine where the ground got messed up...
