Re: Synth sellers will soon need to drop their prices.
I just had a weird experience, there was a seller with a cr-8000 and I have bought things from the seller before and done good business with him and recommended his products to people. I asked him if he would add a buy it now, he doesn't respond and later adds the buy it now, I go to buy it and he h...

Re: Jomox M-Base 11
I don't know stab, none of the jomox kicks do real pitches in perfect tune anyway and I don't think people are that bothered by it since it's pretty close and on the low kicks you can't really tell anyway it's so deep, on the really high pitched kicks well... I don't think the real high pitches on t...

Re: SH vs JP4
to go cheap get a sh-1, sh-09, sh2 and then a old boss chorus. I think the chorus is a big part of the jp4 "lead" sound.

Re: Jomox M-Base 11
I'm going to speculate that it is a single channel xbase style kick drum.
I sent him a couple emails awhile back suggesting he make a mono synth that was xbase style with parameters locks.
What ever it is... I think I'll probably buy it!

Re: Roland 909 w/ Ext Sequencer - Loses the magic?
I bet the 909 sequencer is more solid than ableton lives... well the accents certainly affect the sound of the instruments quite a bit more than just volume level, they sound like the distort a bit or something. when I record a bunch of separate parts into live using a 909 it sounds not as groovy as...

Re: What next?
I would say an ms-20 or ms-10. You have the moog sound covered, but you need something that's real raw and analog sounding the ms series would add a lot to your rig I think. I guess a poly would be good too, good luck getting a sunsyn...

Re: Synth sellers will soon need to drop their prices.
it's all true, really tough selling anything right now and prices are way way down from even 3 months ago. yikes!
all the deals wiss speaks of aren't as good as you might think given the current market value + how paypal and ebay bend your a*s over so much more these days than they used to.

Re: Acidlab Miami
Somehow before the concept was fully formed, Roland made these amazing machines that got so much right without any real model to follow, and made sounds that are excellent and stand the test of time, surviving many times over the predictions of their demise for being cliche, overused or too expensi...

Re: Acidlab Miami
well I don't think jomox were actually meant to be a clone, more of an inspiration. Sorry I still don't think the jomox has anything over the 909/808 other than features and a poor user interface. If only jomox focused on the sounds more rather than complicated parameter locking etc. it would ...

Re: Acidlab Miami
jomox offers more technically... but in the end the 888 + 999 got nothing on the 808 or 909.
