I'm dying for a frostwave resonator! Yes he has been shut down for more like a year? I've seen resonators go for well over $300 and they originally sold for $280...
Hopefully he makes another batch someday

Re: Analogue Solutions Semblance
really that is whack.
I found on the spectral audio site that there are directions in the service manual to turn the neptune II into a semi modular!

Re: Analogue Solutions Semblance
seriously though isn't the spectral audio amazing for the price? It really sounds raw, has snappy envs, ring mod, 3 osc, multimode filter?
I thing you're right and that just not a lot of people know about them.

Re: Analogue Solutions Semblance
yeah the Spectral Audio Neptune 2 has some pretty damn cool features for the price and the sound is muuuuch better than the MFB if you ask me or the Semblance. I'm thinking about picking one up for the cv/gate conversion and the great piece of kit it is.
I'm surprised more people aren't into the SAN2

Re: Analogue Solutions Semblance
I didn't like it. The one I got osc. 2 would hold a callibration so it was always out of tune I sold it for under $500 Overall the sound isn't that raw, the filter is cool but in the end for the price there are a lot of other synths I would go for first. Honestly desktop is a big limitation, there i...

Re: Dirtiest sampler?
get the mpc 60 or s950
on the 60 you can compress sounds down even further than it's already dirty 12 bit.
plus it's got a great sequencer you can use for synths and it is the only instrument that is actually truly "built like a tank"
and you can always resell it for the price you paid.

Re: Prophet 08'
I don't like bass sounds on any poly synth so I think that is a bad point of measure on a poly, nothing does bass like a good old VCO single osc. mono synth for me. Though there of course exceptions I just think.. don't knock any poly because it doesn't do good bass. Stacking sux! I agree with carbo...

Re: Question about the Mopho sequencer
Man I wish there was a mopho cv sequencer with all the power of the mopho's ability to sequence multiple parameters but didn't have a synth built in just sent out multiple cv signals.... and still had midi sync
Re: Korg 770
Lol, yeah I have the chance to get 770 today! But I'm kind of in the same boat, I don't know anyone who can do this mod and my tech won't even look at the 770
Is there anywhere I could just send it to have a cv/gate mod done?
thanks

Re: Does the sh-101 have cv/gate out?
Thanks solder, I do have to agree tho that there is something cool about using a cv board to control a cv synth. I use ableton live, but honestly the problem I have is the when I sequence a synth by the time I've sent midi out of live, then through a converter, then recording back into Live there is...

Re: Does the sh-101 have cv/gate out?
thanks for the good points solder, I probably should actually just buy a kenton #-o that would be the responsible thing for me to do... and I probably will anyway but $500 for the 101 I can get my money back on and sell it pretty easy if I don't like it, and I do think the sh-101 sound is pretty coo...
Re: Korg 770
I'm pretty sure there are really difficult to even add korg's cv/gate htz whatever to it. AND people who have tried to mod the minikorg 700s which is almost identical they have screwed them up and created weird popping sounds. I honestly love the sound of it to death! But so frustrating that it can'...

Re: Does the sh-101 have cv/gate out?
true, I may have a lead on a pro one but then again they have bad key action for the most part and they are twice as much $. Though yes they sound really good I even kind of prefer the pro one sound over the minimoog. I've got a lead on $500 really nice sh-101 lined up tomorrow so I think that shoul...
