I haven't got a sync/midi box yet so I'll need to do that asap. I realize they have been overused, but I'm thinking of using all the ind. outs to send them into different outboard effects/filters etc. I would really like to get my 808 modified.... Check out the future retro XS processing it: http://...

thanks for the reassurance Z! Been realizing I make most of my tracks with cheap 808 samples... so I thought h**l I might as well get the real thing and yeah it looks like it's in great shape! There is a sync/midi box on ebay right now for $50 so I'm thinking I better get it since I don't have any o...

The 888 is definitely worth checking out and i think its the best of the jomox drum machines. I would never pay 1500 for an old tr-808 I'm sorry but you gotta draw the line somewhere! I would really recommend the vermona drm mkiii because its brand new... cheaper and all analog rawness like a tr-606...

There really isn't much info/videos/demos out there so your gonna just have to buy one to hear it. I bought one new and wound up getting rid of it... the kick sounds great (not as good as an 808 though IMO), toms are horrible with limited controls, snare is c**p, the analog noise hihats are rea...

I bet some of the fruitiest smooth jazz you have ever heard is going to come out of that guitar... Listen to the demos its an old dude smoothie heaven machine! I would hope for that price there would be more than sustain, you would think they could have a pitch tracking monosynth at the least for th...

What about snappiness? Is that only for the envelopes or is the VCA a key part to snappiness? well the VCA EG attack is the basic equivalent of "note on", but it's the filter EG (exponential) that gives snappy character Hmm, this doesn't seem to tally with alot of what i've read about synths. How a...

plenty of discussions in the past about this, the ASM doesn't make sense fo sho. DCO's and the analog fitlters, I kind of like the filter... Overall, to my ears the BS sounds plasticky and generic. The little keyboard version is cute and it was my first synth but the nostaligia is not worth having a...

I'll take one plz. I've been wondering about the difference between the 808 kick and jomox kick. I think this has been discussed in some other thread but isn't the 808 basically a self oscillating filter whereas the jomox kicks are square waves? I seem to like the sound of the 808 kick better try re...
