Why would you say that? Because you have extensive experience running synths through high end mic pres, or because you read somebody else who has never laid their hands on one rhapsodising about them?philip wrote:I would take TAB or Telefunken V72

Re: High end preamp ideal for P8?
Things that effect the character of the music you're recording: The person playing it . . . The instrument . . . The effects you run through . . . The audio interface . . The preamp Have you sorted out all the things in that list that come before a preamp? If so then think about getting a preamp for...

Re: MS 20 MINI vs Pittsburgh Modular System 1 Cell 48
So how's that 4-voice coming along, Stabby? :) Well when I got to the keyboard scanning circuit I realised I needed to learn a little bit more about programming so I started doing a programming course online through edX, which led to me going back to Uni to do an Electronic Engineering degree (with...

Re: Rossum Electro Music - E-Mu coming back?
It's not so much for compatibility, it's more that in the modular world (well the Eurorack modular world at least) the analogue/digital snobbery isn't as full on as in other synth scenes and so people realise that digital is better for doing certain things than analogue is. Some things (like wavetab...

Does the Box as well? I knew the Block did (I have four of them) but I thought they fixed it for the Box. :/

Re: Polysix - group of dead keys in spite of repeated cleani
An air gap is when a wire is broken or disconnected, and there's literally a gap with air in a path that should be connected with wire.
So basically look for something which has come undone or is broken or corroded. If you have a multimeter with continuity test you can use that.

Re: Remixing, Recording, Editing
Regarding copyright, you usually get permission when they give you the stems to remix. Most of the time the songwriting credit of the remix remains with the original holder, so you don't really need to worry about it. If you want to get started playing around remixing stuff try googling "remix compe...

How do you think the midi information would be getting out of the mfb and in to the Atari?

Re: How to tune to 432hz on P8 module?
Easiest way would be to get your DAW which is tuned to 432Hz, play a note in that, then play a note on the P08 and turn down the pitch until they're in tune. Should take about 15 seconds tops.

Re: Polysix - group of dead keys in spite of repeated cleani
The fact that it's a group of eight consecutive keys strongly suggests an air gap in the key scanner matrix, I would leave the contacts alone.
