Re: How to DIY repaint a synth (w/ mask, writings...)
You don't spray it, you screen it. Look up a few youtube videos on screenprinting on metal, I'm sure there's lots. Once you've got the panel graphic done and scaled correctly etc find your local screen printing supply place who can make a screen up for you (one for each colour you're printing. This ...

Re: First mixer advice
I've never had any problem with my Behringer mixer, my bandmate, who has similar model, also. Maybe it's model dependant? But have you ABed a mix running through a channel on the B to running through a return on it to running clean to the monitors? Have you compared how things sound running through...

Re: First mixer advice
Ignore the above advice, the B*****her mixers are c**p and make anything you run through them sound dull and flat, and they break easily. I've owned two, the price makes the really tempting, but go with the Yamaha if you want reliable value for money.

Re: Roland Boutique
If an Ambika (6voices) can fit into a small box with all through hole components, I'm sure Roland could pull it off if they wanted to. Yep. And to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they worked with Olivier on this, in the same way that they worked with Josh from Malekko with the new System 500 E...

Everything doesn't have to be like something else. If making music is like making music then DJs are like DJs.

Re: New to synths
Of those three the MS2000 is the only one which can play chords and the only one which lets you save your sounds and recall them instantly, which could be something you want if you're planning on gigging with it. The MS-20 Mini has patch points for all of its modulator outputs and most of its contro...

Moog Mother 32 Eurorack synth voice
Moog are showing off their upcoming Mother32 Eurorack synth voice at Knobcon this weekend, no photos or video yet because they're not letting anyone take pictures, but apparently it'll be out in October. The 32 comes from the number of patch points the thing has, looks like a real analogue version o...

Re: Oscillot Lite -- FREE Modular for Ableton M4L
I bought the full version the other day, it's very cool for integrating with my Eurorack system. Not only can you output the audio from the oscs to the modular, you can also output CVs. Very tasty.

Re: Master Compressor for Live set
If the pumping is too extreme you just raise the threshold. The RNC isn't a very pumpy compressor, I wouldn't worry about it. Personally, and having owned both, I would pick the RNLA over the RNC for doing nice things to the bottom end.

Re: Yamaha Reface
I'm sorry you didn't get my little gag, no need to get nasty though. Just out of interest, where did I say I didn't like the DX7 piano sound? Sorry; being told that my opinions are somehow not legitimate because (armchair psychology) is a major pet peeve of mine. And how does that relate to LCD Sou...

Re: Triggering a LinnDrum and Pro One Simultaneously - MIDI/
Welcome to the wonderful world of 80s serial data transmission protocols! As midi is serial it needs to send one message out at a time, so there's no way you'll ever get exactly perfect simultaneous triggering from two devices with it. Your best bet would be to ditch midi completely and sync the Lin...
