If it's a mono patch just record it in mono with just one input of your soundcard. Easy.
Mono = One ouput + One cable + One input
Oh and it could be caused by:
1. Crappy mixer
2. Different (unmatched) line amps in your soundcard
3. Bad cables (not that likely)

Whether or not your soundcard supports midi depends on your soundcard, but it doesn't matter for this because you're using this device instead. What OS are you using? I guess windows cause you said control panel. I'm not that big on windows stuff or reason on windows, but if it's recognised as a mid...

That's a small midi interface in the middle of the cable. Midi is an 80's data protocol, the computer communicates with the interface (your 'cable') and then it sends midi in and out to the microkorg. It's not some kind of adaptor cable that will let the computer 'see' the MK, it's a seperate device...

OK, if people are going to pedantic I should have said you should never normalise if you don't want to lose a lot of information and clarity in your signal. Audio engineers NEVER normalise. Sure we compress the c**p out of stuff and hard limit things to make commercial releases really loud, (even th...

The microkorg won't appear in your computer, select the usb interface as your midi driver and then you'll be able to recieve midi notes in reason. Make sure you've connected the midi out of the MK to the midi in on your interface. Also have a read of this, it'll be really helpful. http://www.tweakhe...

What you want is speakers with a flat response and a room with a flat response. The room can be hard (almost impossible) to get and will need a fair bit of bass trapping but if you start with a system that isn't even close to flat like that one you're using you're just asking for trouble. My advice ...

1. Never normalise anything. All it does is multiply everything by a factor that makes the highest sample level equal 0dBFS, which effectively clips. It is a purely mathematical process that doesn't take into account relative loudness of tracks, and you actually lose detail and dynamic range when yo...

Would like to try Live 6 as main sequencer. I think that will work best with me. Other than that I like Reason, although it has shortcomings. This is why I want to try Live 6. The Live 6 demo is the full program just with saving and bouncing disabled, which is awesome cause if you're touring you ca...

All the software I use is legal, I had 'evaluation' copies of stuff in the past but I don't want to risk having any problems with my setup cause I don't have the time to have to troubleshoot software problems. I've bought and paid for Live (4, 5 and 6) Pro Tools (MBox, 002 Factory) and Cycling 74 Mo...

Man that's a pretty small room, anything with decent bottom end is going to set up masive standing waves unless you've got a crapload of bass trapping. I wouldn't go bigger than the 8030s or the BM5As, and then spend the rest of your $1200 on bass traps and accoustic treatment. You might not end up ...
