Re: Multivox analog synths?

The MX3000 is 4 synths in one as it were but not really comparable to other ones.

The styling is very Roland though.

And unlike most ARP quadra's it still works.

Re: Multivox analog synths?

Having owned a MX75.....It's really a preset synth with a certain amount of control but not a copy of anything else. The build quality is not great but not bad, I had to give mine a real good service and found the switches and pots to be lesser quality than other synths of the era. The filter was we...

Re: ARP odyssey mk3

Interesting....I must say i am very happy with my 2600 as it is but for now i am discovering more about the odyssey. I am now restoring my black/gold version...Taking apart the sliders and cleaning them. It's a tedious job but will save the pots from failing and i don't see any on e-bay these days.....

I think having the cs30 took my eye off the ball...It was a nice synth though i should have worked more with it.

Re: The 10 greatest synthesizers of all time

Good day. Are you the Moog guy that did an extensive Arturia Minibrute review on YouTube. If so, nice to meet you :D Well, back to your comments about defining best. I suppose you could if it a 100m race or something, i.e. stuff that can be quantified but not music, because it is something that ple...

Re: Help needed! Korg PE 1000 information

I totally agree with Kenneth on this.....I have quite some Crumars/Eka stringers inc some other makes but those envelopes are such that you play them in a different way to a polysynth.

I have to say though i don't like Korg stringers ....Yes i had most of them once.

Re: Re-capping an OB-8

I think if your going to the effort of taking out caps to test you might as well replace them with new one's esp on the power supply board.....When i recapped my memorymoog power supply it did fix my tuning problem. Replacing trimmers is also a very wise investment (good tip steve) cleaning the conn...

Re: Re-capping an OB-8

I usually fix the problem before i recap a synth, However recapping the power supply might help ..

Try that first..
