Re: Your most reliable vintage synth? ;)

Ms20's are very reliable and you can get most of the parts still...The jupiter 8 is also well made.

POLYSIX (always modulating)

OK....it's the battery board but has anyone else had this problem and where to look first.

The lfo is modulating when the amount is down..

Certainly the battery board ... the traces are fine around the usual suspects...????

Re: ms 20 questions

Just a bad contact somewhere....Push the connectors in first.

First or second versions are the same except for the filter....And they don't sound that dissimilar (I have both)

Re: Korg Polysix issues after battery/trace repair...

The diode keeps the battery voltage to the RAM next to the junction on the left.

Always replace the ic 31....Sometimes the acid soaks into the board.

You have to give it a bloody good clean....

Re: Korg Polysix issues after battery/trace repair...

Rhino is spot on ....I have fixed 12 polys and you have to recheck the traces..

Clean the board with pure alcohol on a toothbrush...Clean it off with cotton buds.

Re: korg ms10 help, no sound!

If the lfo light is always on it' makes me wonder about the power supply....Anyway it's normal to start from the power supply.
try the last post ..plus Check the noise outs on the patch bay..?
