With out wanting to open up a can of worms, the Jupiter 8 is certainly not worth the money that is asked for it these days. I agree but this could be said for many analogs these days, I bought mine for 1000 euros so i was lucky. If i was to sell it i would ask the going rate of course. If you wait ...

After a few minor repairs it's working.

This is one h**l of a drum machine and it can be synced to roland gear.. :D

It's not the akai...Anyway i have found the manual.

The light switch only dims when it's in the off position...Some lights stay on but dim...

I have just got a mpc old drum machine....All the pads work ect.

Thank you for all the advice given...I will keep hold of my Q as it is a very good synth that offers a good balance to the analogs.

And yes the ARP gets a lot of use... :D

I am getting a old Empc drum machine soon.

Mine has an audio output on it's side ...Is it usual to use the L/R minijack outs (Top right)..? Is it quarter inch? I can't stand using the minijack outputs... I feel like the adapters and cables put stress on them. If you've got a quarter inch output, I'm jealous! Yes it's a quarter inch jack.......

I have not heard any 'vca thumping'..... What's all that about...? I can't remember, exactly. There is something about the internal electronics that means that if you set the envelope in some specific way, it makes an irritating thump each time you play. I've only found it once... my normal mode of...

I had to sacrifice my Xpander...But the sound of the 2600 is worth it.

It came with a very old manual...Everything is hand drawn.
