Thank you....I just wondered if it was a fault.

It's a nice poly though with the strings and stuff..

multivox schematics

I am restoring my mx3000. I have replaced the caps on the power supply but i fear somethings not correct..

It worked but with noise on the output then blew a fuse.

I am sure i did this ok but i need to consult the schems to clarify..?

And I found the fault...It was the trimmer pot for it's output stage.

I cleaned it up and it's ok now... :D

BTW....I find the sync to be very weak.

Is this normal....?

Cheers...I am also cleaning the keyboard contacts as there is some double triggering going on, This might be causing this but I will see...

The crackles go less after 10 mins....Then it's fine.

I will keep on looking.

Sounds like a good addition to what looks like a very nice kit list already, Sam. I'm not envious at all. Actually, I'd be interested in hearing some demo samples of this unit. I know Goldfrapp use one quite a bit, but I don't know if it's a sound I'd recognise unless someone pointed it out....

Yes the Xpander/M12 have the obersound....The OBX has discrete osc/filters and sounds more organic.

Both are great synths.... :D

Roland Dimention D

I just got myself a Dimention D.

My first thoughts are.

Superb quality of sound, I will be running a lot of things through this.

Very low noise for an analog effect.

Subtle but very nice.

Anyone else got one..?

Crumar trilogy

On the string section only.

Random crackles as somethings not connecting.

Has anyone had this problem...?

I would say the 0B-X followed by the Xpander and OB-1.

I have these and it's a hard choice.

The guy advertised the wasp as non working. Obviously he didn't know anything about synths...

I called and was at his door within half an hour.

It's in mint condition and works perfectly.

I was very lucky.. :D
