Re: Moog MG-1 vs DSI Mopho vs ?

You will be better with the Realistic MG-1, for the moment if you are lucky you might get one at a good price , for now at least, i think they are better than a Moog Rogue , but thats only my view its the sort of cheapo ring modulator / organ poly in effect a 3 vco synth for peanuts.

Re: What the h**l is going on with Prodigy prices?

The prodigy i find is fine but simple, when new at £249 it was a entry level moog , they look good even today , the micromoog to me is a little more serious synth so i try to look upon the prodigy for what it is, if there are going to be prices reaching further then its very simple its selling on th...

Re: What the h**l is going on with Prodigy prices?

This post is in need of some logic, though there are/ have been ebay UK Prodigy listings at £800+ there seems to be no takers, and why not, well for a start the Moog Prodigy is not rare with 11,000 or so made and i guess the bulk still around there are plenty around, i saw them go for as low as £375...

The Micromoog does what it does best , offer simple core electronics, easy to use small neat once used by Kraftwerk and on that little to say its a cracker.

Re: Ever been tempted to sell a Jupiter 8 and buy EVERYTHING

I bought a jp8a about 5yrs ago paid £1025 with the dcb box its been leaning against a wardrobe ever since, they are one of a kind, but there is better out there, i would consider selling as long as its replacement is equal in rarity.

does not sound like a divider issue i always thought it is when its spread over the octaves, a polymoog gremlin to test your soul and patience.

Re: Modern monosynth prices VS polysynth prices

Lets be honest China could have kicked out new polysynths cheap as chips anytime, they cant be that dumb, because they know it would not make $$$, thats why apple and others rule the world , dont think apple have not thought about it the smell of cash is always a winner.

Re: Modern monosynth prices VS polysynth prices

To me its down to the cost and almost certain competition , bet your bottom dollar if a poly came out some maker would clone it , the first polys were massive , costly, and some with reliability issues, today not known , mono is the safe bet, also i cant see any poly today offering something new with...

Re: New Moog

I do think what is happening is no one really can take synths to another level without some reference to the past, i believe its all been done and better long ago, you cant live in the past but you can change the present , ive just bought a ipad mini, im already being told various apps are around in...

Re: ARP 2600 or Odyssey knockoffs in Hardware?

Macbeth M5 is rather heavily inspired by the 2600. Not when it comes to sound. seen one of these a early one in orange/black, looks like one yes , sounds nothing like why the h**l cant designers bring something out with no pointer to the old days, synthrestore england make 2600 modules, a new filte...

Re: DSI announces Prophet 12!

I cant believe im saying this but im warming to DSI , it sounds good fresh, unlike moog thread going further into offering new polysynths, i can see studios buying this synth serious players its ok.

Re: New Moog

I do question if these filter options were not around at the launch of the LP, why not put them on back then, that keyboard looks too short , it will be interesting to see the next new product should be in the line of this new one but with slight changes, the only moog synth i know to try to look ye...

Re: New Moog

i suppose i will await the release of one in limited edition blue or green or what colour it comes in , dont get me wrong i hope it takes off but its its time to break free of this raised panel prodigy type side panels design its been there done that not 10 years earlier more like 40 years earlier .
