I buy and sell synths like crazy and I often take a small hit when I do. Over the years I've lost thousands due to buying and selling. But, I just consider that the cost of my hobby. Whatever loss I take, I consider that the cost of ownership for the time I had it. And you it helps you learn what y...

I'm sorry, but losing $500-600 due to laziness / gas cannot be justified...no matter how you look at it....IMHO. However, it is shanes loot, so... no big deal. And some could say the same about the money you lost on the sale of the Voyager. ;) He bought an expensive synth and decided it wasn't for ...

There were a couple things that I didn't care for on the PEK but I think it really was the tone and filter that just didn't cut it for me. It really is a phenominal instrument but as you said, it just wasn't for me. From what I played of the MEK I didn't really like the tone either. Everybody's dif...

How about the synth version? All the more fitting I believe. ;)

For me it's simple: - If the synth has decent digital effects (Novation X-Station and JD-800), I'll utilise them from time to time. - If it's an analogue effect (PolySix, Juno-6, JX-3P) I'll use them most of the time. I'll only not bother if I don't want to - in other words if I WANT chorus on that ...

A PEK for an LP? Guess it really wasn't for you then.

Glad you are enjoying it though. :)

Wait, are you using the your OnBoard soundcard (the one build onto the motherboard) or do you have a PCI/PCI-E one like an Creative Audigy or what not.

If you AREN'T using the OnBoard soundcard then you'll have to plug it into the one you have set up.

It's not a matrix, you press a button to choose which of the 4 mod slots you're using, then there are 3 knobs for source, amount and destination. Immediate results. That's pretty much how the Ion works once you hit the mod matrix button. Surely a mod matrix is anything that lets you set modulation ...

Don't use the micron's headphone output. It outputs a much lower signal than the main outs (since the headphones work on very low signal levels), so you will have to boost volume alot to hear anything, and thus get more noise. Use the main outputs. Eh? It's the other way around mate. ;) Line level ...

You want to connect the Micron's output to a blue (or is it black?) jack on your sound card. Green is stereo speaker out, pink is microphone input and I think blue/black is line level input. Once you are plugged in make sure the "Line in" track isn't muted on the Windows Volume Control mixer. You wo...

Thanks for the help guys but I've discovered I can get good results using my mixing desk to pan the mic and synth hard either way and then sending the stereo mix into FL Studio's own vocoder. Saves me having to invest in a mK and means I can use any synth as a carrier that I own with relative ease. ...

Re: ...

on one hand im disgusted, coz that synth is capable of so much, and i don't want anyone calling it cheap or plasticky...on the other hand, if theyre so cheap i might buy another one, midi them up for some 8 vco action...lol Well you get overrated synths as well. Look at the SH-101 - I mean don't ge...

Yup, should work fine.

The cables are both TRS (AKA jack to jack cables) so providing you have adapters to change the size, like you do on the right end of the one in that pic, it'll work no problem.

A Major 7th is usually four notes as Jugel said.

It is made up of the 1st, major 3rd, perfect 5th and major 7th - so a C major 7th is C E G B. Add a bass note and you'll need a polyphony of 5.

I think 6 notes of polyphony is acceptable for a poly analogue myself.
