I did check this morning with Dave, and he confirmed that they're basically the same. If you want to ask him questions yourself, feel free to give him a call: (707) 963-7006. Now that's just one of the reasons I'll probably buy a MEK eventually (and use it as a digital synth most likely!) - I may n...

Too bad I don't have an AN1X or I would check these out straight away going by your MP3 demos I heard sometime ago. Thanks for sharing though - who says you can't get something for nothing? ;)

I must ask JS, would it really be that much trouble to sequence the LP externally? If you are only gonna sequence one synth via your DAW then you'll just need one cable and as long as you keep it plugged in at all times it should be set or forget. If you had 10 synths and a mess of cables I'd unders...

Tyler if you e-mail me it as an attachment I'll glady host it on my site if that would help. It'll save you the bother of signing up for all these stupid file share sights that are often a pain to navigate for hosts and clients alike.

I had little trouble updating the OS on my Ion with MIDIOX and an M-Audio MIDIsport 2x2. It seems to a bigger problem for people that don't have access to MIDIOX.

If you can get that PC out from storage and get it running I'd be happy help you with sending the new OS with MIDIOX.

Thanks AvS...if you think that's phat just wait 'till Jexus shows up and wipes the floor with his Polysix unison basslines :shaking:  ( pretty-pretty little-titty pleeeeease, Jex??? i know you're looking ) The PolySix bass lines are big all right but they are more juicy raw than aggro raw in m...

An idea! Wouldn't old computer speakers be a great source for a simple talkbox? Already done it chief. Check the thread I posted in "Sound production" where you can see pics and hear a sound demo of how it turned out. Link is here . Cost me absolutely nothing to make - just butchered an old pair of...

The manual says there is a function that switches one of the outputs to mono and I found this. However it may be a mono signal but it's still only comming through the left can. As Jambo said, the signal is very weak. A weak signal I can handle.... it's the sound only going to one ear thats pissing ...

Jack's suggestion will give you something to work with definitely, but my fear is that the volume might not be acceptable. Stereo headphone jacks on synths tend to pass a much hotter signal because headphones are passive - they don't require power and can't amplify the signal, unlike your line outs ...

Ah I assumed as much. Well hey, at least you got to test it out - that's something in it's own right. And you used it for your album too I'd gather.

I remember your demos well and think you made a very good job of them. :D Did they slate your knowledge or accent? I mean't I would like to have heard AC speak to us... not nesessarily a blow by blow account of what he was doing. Just a "hey guys, it's me!" kinda thing. Well thanks. :) It's a combi...

Hey REwire I liked your entry, but why didn't you opt to use the Wretch Machine? Would that not have been perfect for mean and dirty bass?
