Re: AS Leipzig
Compared to the Moog Little Phatty i noticed a lot of background noise on the Leipzig-K. Possibly that was just the demo unit at the music store acting up but was enough to make me think twice about buying one of these synths. Were you listening through headphones? Most of my synths sound rather no...

My guess was the CS-80 before I seen the answer. Certainly didn't sound very Moogy to me.

Re: Roland Juno 60 Mods
I'd like to know where that option is then, in the menu, because I haven't found it yet. (also wondering why they've dropped key transpose on the JX8/10s) For unison modes on the JX-10 you need to go into "Patch" edit then press the "Parameter" button, using the alphadial to scroll to parameter 33,...

Re: tube amps
A couple of things come to mind: 1. He's playing a Tele, which is notorious for noise (single coil pickups). 2. Ground loop is quite possible. I definitely think it's the latter. My mains at home definitely has some grounding issues and even my ageing WEM Dominator isn't nearly as bad (with an over...

Re: If you had to
A hard one but I'd probably have to call V-Synth and Mono/Poly - again not because they are my favourites but because they are both really versatile.

Re: Mopho's sweet n' round sound?
Yeah, the original idea was 'what if JJP or d**k Hyman had cut a record for Stax in 1968?'. The two major problems being that a. I have 1% of the technique and facility of a real keyboard player (I'm a saxophonist by training) and b. that me and my buddies have 1% of 1% of the feeling of Booker T. ...

Re: Another 'which one to buy'?
The ION sounds like your best bet. Make sure to check for issues before you buy, especially the ones killedaway mentioned.
