that was a nice loong demo! after 6 minutes the MC-09 sound is starting to get nasty with it's own character, not really analog sounding, but cool. but the MC-505 drum demo is even cooler. like it and worth the downloading effort :)

I've been told that the Kawai K1 is a lesser synth compared with other digitals. All the same, I've liked whatever I've heard done with it. The ones who say that are simply using it for the wrong reason. If I had one, I'd not only enjoy the h**l out of it, but I'd also keep my eyes open for a Waves...

Re: why is the nord modular g2 so expensive????

does anyone have one is it worth 1700 dollars and how do you compare it to a virus or other virtual analogs or is it analog?? it's pricey imho because of the tight integration of the keyboard controller ability, superior DSP and Software Editor. It's so cool that for a synth with such a deep "modul...

the demo is nice and easy on the ears, showing the subtle side of FM that I like.

The MU100 is basically a Yamaha SW1000XG soundcard in a module. The 'R' version has a monophonic modelling synth attached (I think). yes, that plus the harmonizer function which is also available as a PLG board. The problem with the XG sound set it that often sounds are made from several single-wav...

Is the MU100/100R the precursor to the Motif Rack? I'm thinking of copping one to put my DX200 FM card in as no patch names is very annoying + extra effects would be nice. I won't really call it like that, since the Motif have a much more sophisticated osc structure in their single programs. I woul...

I won't call the D-50 keys are a better feeling than the M1 keys, but I like it "unique" spongy feels, specially the way if feel to the internal engine. To me the D-50 is one of the most playable board and I'm glad to own the keyboard version.

I like the K-Station for several reasons : 1. It can produce a very wide range of sounds with a bit of tweaking. 2. It's small enough to sit on your lap so you can create sounds with headphones on, drinking a beer and watching your favourite TV program. 3. The effects section isn't half bad, so you...

Re: An1x Demo Mp3

http://www.savefile.com/files/845962 interestingly there are no external effects (albeit a little treble added to brighten the sound slightly) great demo Elmo! nice and dirty..what are you recording it with? I sense that it sounds a bit more lo-fi sounding (in a good way) compared to my straight up...

So the pulse 2.0 and the plus version are not very different, apart the mii/cv converter and an audio in. And earliest Pulses? Is there only a red knob of difference? Not sure where you could get a red knob from tho. supposed to be not much different between those Pulses. But I'm glad ...

if it's really decent and you bother about the NR1 sound, it's a fair price. but if you are not specifically looking for the NR1 sound, I'd opt a bit to get the NR2 which is sort of the expanded NR1. there's one with a $450 buy it now option on ebay actually. even, with a bit of luck, the NR2 can al...

But the audio processing of other synths or drum machines is great, can you process the audio thru the effects while playing the KS? mine is the X-station, and that's the beauty..it can even process input 1 with different fx than the input 2 (I only using it for the synth engine). the fx is nice an...
