Re: Half-rack multitimbral synth module?

a small cute VA/FM/something else module, you know, the real deal. Check out the Yamaha MU100, it can be expanded with one of the PLG boards, such the AN (VA), DX (FM) or VL (PM).Also It have audio inputs with up to 6 fx processor! http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/Images/KeyboardsDMI/Product/Main/mu...

I own that rock solid Mackie MS-1202 for more than 10 years and it still served well as a decent sub mixer.

My main concern would be the CPU load. I think the requirement specs are 800 mghz. That's not too bad compared to some some other softsynths. actually it's one of the most solid performance vst that run well in my laptop and studio PC. it's not a virus replacement, but it provide me most of the vir...

this web always made me happy while waiting for the synth to arrive  http://www.synthmania.com/k-station.htm I own the X-stn and it's a favorite. it can be powerful, warm, thin, cheezy..but pity that it can't process audio through the audio input and have no vocoder. But yours have those, plus...

agree with the JV-1010, specially since it have a built in session board with some better waveform material. it have a better cc implementation than the JV-1080 and when expanded with the SR-JV80-19 House board, it could be what you are looking.

I wasn't planning on paying more than 50 for one of these, I'd figured I'd just snag one off scambay or a local pawn shop. with some luck, sometime the CS1x is sold for around that price..actually there's one on ebay right now, just one day left and still $37, just hope that the seller didn't see t...

Try the Yamaha CS1X for example. They go for around 150 bucks great choice, it can even go lower than that and looks almost like the AN1x :) I might as well get something that features casio cheeze-core sounds that I can violate via the audio in on my ea1  ? Also what the h**l does general...

AN1x is a great synth, one of my all time fav. If else failed, try these banks. I rarely buy 3rd party sound banks for synth with knobs, but those are worth it. Programmed by some people from the Yamaha team who knows the AN1x inside-out.

Re: Which digital has the best interface?

The JD-800 is a direct development from the D series (more of from the D-70, no L/A engine but a straight rompler), it is a nice synth for that kind of string-brass layer. As far as rompler goes, it got the best user interface while not the easiest to use.

what hardware would you suggest using for specifically for house music? since you are just starting up, it'll never hurt to own a nice bread and butter rompler. the JV-1010 can be installed with the SR-JV80-19 House board which is focusing on the House music. the JV-1010 also has a better cc implem...
