Re: Relatively new to this, Awesome forum
Hi Rex, Welcome to the forum. Would try to share some opinions regarding your questions. 1) I want a kick butt music sequencer. What's better than PA 9? It all depends on your needs..some people prefer pattern based sequencing while other prefer the conventional, linear style sequencing. But if you ...

Re: Need help with a sequencer.
I just want a way to record multiple patches and then play them back. I think Zam got you right, by recommending you to use the RS7k "built-in voices and drum kits to user phrases". Which translated into: Recording multiple patches (of the RS7k) plus the TX81Z patches and then play them back. It se...

Re: Korg Micro Sampler
that's exactly what i'm after, basically a W-30 but with more sample time, effect options etc. they would be off their block if it wasn't a traditional sampler and it has a keyboard attached to it. Agree, I'm actually also in the mood for Roland's 12 bit sampling keyboard like the W-30 or S-50. Fou...

Re: Portable Production: DS-10, iPod Touch, Netbook, Akai MPC500
the original DS was like 12 bit 32khz or something. sounds good to me :) if the newer is really 16 bit, might keep the older for this. Real time editing that one feature is what I miss from the original. it's surprising that such a small gear has all the processing power for that..and those amount ...

Re: Korg Micro Sampler
Their Micro stuff seems so popular. Expanding the line isn't absurd but it's weird. They already have the ESX1 I'm still waiting for Yamaha's answer to this. It's been too long since the AN200. Would love to see the touch screen version of their QY walkstation, with some non volatile sampling and P...

Re: Portable Production: DS-10, iPod Touch, Netbook, Akai MPC500
When I take my 2 year old son to the park or indoor bounce park, I'd like something to keep me entertained while he's playing. First I tought about the DS-10, but we're talking $200 for a DS & DS-10. Next, I thought about an iPod Touch and some music apps I think the DS would be nice. Other than th...

Re: Korg Micro Sampling
funny, roland is supposed to be announcing new gear on september 1 as well... maybe we're gonna get a good old fashioned big-company-brawl :D oh it's been too long >:] Yup, I'm very excited about this too..I sense that it's going to be a battle of portable - battery powered gears. May be something ...

Re: Korg Micro Sampling
I'm positively sure, but can't find any info on the net either.. Anyway, just got this reply from City Music Singapore: "The MicroSampler will only be launch on the 3rd of September. The unit that you saw was only a demo set and its for distributors view only. The price should be around $596 after d...

Re: New LinnDrum II Design
Meanwhile I'm happy enough to get a confirmation from Roger Linn himself this morning, that he actually worked with Roland in designing the Roland R-70 which is my current favorite. Here's what the man said: "Yes, I did work with Roland on that product, sometime around 1991 if memory serves." Just a...

Re: Korg Micro Sampling
It was a rush visit and no picture taken. Assumed that there's going to be a complete info on the net, I didn't memorize clearly about the several sampling mode or the sequencer. Also, I was thinking that time that it should provide multisampling, otherwise the keyboard features will not be effectiv...
