Re: What I'd like in a polysynth
just don't really feel like arguing about it. No argument here; I think you're being a tad touchy as far as that goes. I was just wanting to understand your motives for limiting yourself to VCO. I don't think I called you out anywhere in that response, other than the question of being a troll, and ...

It's all good then! Let's celebrate with some of Trevor Horn's excellent 12" remixes of Frankie. These were uploaded by Hashmoder, you should all check out his outstanding blog dedicated to vinyl rips of rare 12" versions http://www.hashmoder.com/ . To quote him: I want you to listen to these track...

No, not at all... just looking for clarification and why you are limiting yourself on both price and type... Not the least bit upset.Kenneth wrote:I have obviously upset you.

Re: What I'd like in a polysynth
polyphonic synthesizer that behaves the way I'd like it to. In your ideal world, how would this behave? What I would like: 6-8 voices. ANALOG. VCO, not DCO. Why leave out DCO and everything else in between? Around the $1k mark is appropriate. I wish you luck on your quest. Limiting yourself in the ...

Re: Are your synths for srsbizness or just for playtoys?
It's complicated.
Until recently, I was a gigging musician, sound engineer for other live acts, and occasionally DJ. That being said, about 25% of my gear was used in a professional capacity; but at the moment, none of it is. Therefore, it's amateur night every night.

Factory floppy library for E-mu Emulator II+
All, Needing originals or copies of the factory disks that ship with the Emulator II/II+/II+HD. If you have images of the floppies, that will work as well... I've had no luck finding them elsewhere online. If someone knows of places where I can get replacements, that would work also. I also need the...

Re: New Moog
I'm excited to give this new machine a whirl. I know I can't be in the minority stating that I enjoy the new Moog stuff, sound and interface included. The Little Phatty is an excellent machine with a dead simple interface. Judging by what little I've seen of this new machine, it'll be heaps of fun. :)

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
I would love to have that Vinyl lathe, and the instrument he built is huge and probably quite interesting... There's no way anyone I know can afford this. Not in my lifetime. I recall them auctioning the instrument alone at a million US dollars a while back. Substantial drop in price, but still astr...

Other than DSI there's no-one producing real analogue for the mass market Moog. Elektron. Arturia. Studio Electronics. Doepfer. Analogue Solutions. Vermona. Sherman. Korg. (monotron, monotribe) ...there are more (including modular manufacturers), some to a lesser degree... If you go back and read t...

Re: New Korgs
As I said before, it's from an official (http://www.korg.co.jp/English/Distributors/list.php?keyword=A) korg dist. It's very unlikely that any of those is fake. Images from a single distributor, legit or not does not solidify the veracity of the claims. Why are these images (and SOME backstory) bei...

Re: New Korgs
This smells of unkempt bollocks. It looks 99% identical to the MS-20ic that came as a USB Midi controller for the VST. I used to own one. I used it once. KingKorg? Who comes up with those names? Why not name it K orgy ? :? 37 Mini Keys... who wants to play that shite? Anyone who's tried to play the ...
