Re: DW-8000 arpeggio transmit?
I'm surprised at this. Have you tried it with various synths ? Could it be something not set on the external synth or the external synth not accepting midi clock ?

Re: DW-8000 arpeggio transmit?
He's asking about it transmitting the notes not timing data and no I don't think the DW will do that. The Jupiter-6 will do that if you have Europa (which all JP-6 owners should get)... He's asking if the arpeggiator can control another synth, so you need the DW-8000 to send timing data along with ...

Re: DW-8000 arpeggio transmit?
You do have parameter 85 (Midi Enable) set to "2" (i.e. ALL) and not "1" (Note Data) I assume ? Also, check that parameter 87 (Arpeggio clock) is set to "1", "2", or "3" if you are using the DW-8000s internal clock. If it is set to "4-6" then the arpeggio will not function until it receives clock & ...

Re: Monotribe impressions.
Why ? It's a free download. Unzip the file and play the .wav into the sync-in on the monotribe. No money needs to be spent.blackdiscoball wrote:And I JUST bought mine and now they go and do this. Looks like Im going to have to start saving my pennies up now.

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.
Even though it's in "pristine condition" and comes with case & Kenton Pro 2000, the price is a little steep. Or am I losing touch with reality ?

Re: How do you name your patches?
I'm pretty lazy about patch naming, I usually leave the patch name as it was and simply make a note of the patch location on a scrap of paper.

Re: What is your favorite pad synth?
V-Synth XT. Simply awesome for pads and much more beyond. So many modulation possibilites & some great effects. Plus you get a D-50 thrown in. (Don't use the Vocal Designer much though).
Close 2nd = JD-800. Up to 4 tones combined with very different setups = great evolving, shapeshifting pads.

Re: I need help with my old Poly 800
Do you have the manual ? If not, it's worth downloading http://soundprogramming.net/manuals/Korg_Poly800_Manual.pdf ). At the back is a list of the parameter settings for the various preset patches. You can try programming one of these from scratch, using the values provided. Then do the saving/turn...

Re: I need help with my old Poly 800
There is no internal battery in the Poly800, only the ones in the back. If you have replaced the batteries, then the tape load probably hasn't worked, despite indications to the contrary. I've had the same experience before, everything seemed fine, but about half the patches were the same as the one...
