I'd probably go for :
ARP 2600
Korg PS3200
Minimoog D
Should just be able to squeeze those into $20000 on a good day, although these days I'm not so sure.
Alternatively, I'd build me a monster Eurorack system and kiss goodbye to all free time.

Re: Guess the synth № 90897897
Good one. I should have got that really, but I thought it would be something more exotic
I didn't know JMJ used one either.

The Poly 800. You can play it on the train, at the beach, or even on the toilet. What more could you ask for ?

Re: Fizmo Audio In
Yes. Unless you use the vocoder insert effect, then the Fizmo patch sound will be shaped by the incoming signal.

Re: Roland TR-707
Do you leave the machine on all the time ?
If not, then you need the batteries to remember your patterns.
Read the manual (page 5) to find out more.
Here it is if you don't have a copy : ftp://ftp.roland.co.uk/productsupport/T ... 707_OM.pdf

Re: Roland TR-707
Sounds like flat (or no) batteries. If you look on the back, you'll see a battery compartment. It takes 2 AA batteries.

Check this page out for info on the Tempest. http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/products/tempest/index.php Quoting directly from the 1st paragraph after the video : "• Each of the 6 analog voices has 2 analog oscillators plus 2 digital oscillators (with a large bank of included samples), Dave's cla...

Re: Big decision - many options. Need assistance.
If the Mono Evolver had 4 voices it would be a Poly Evolver :) There are many things you can do to achieve a 'fake' polyphony using an Mono Evolver, or any other multi-oscillator monosynth. For example if you want to play a C major chord, just tune Oscillator 1 to C, Oscillator 2 to E and Oscillator...

The Mono Evolvers have 1 "voice" (i.e. they are monophonic, 1 note can be played at a time), each "voice" has up to 4 Oscillators, 2 analog, 2 digital. Re: Big decision - many options. Need assistance.
Go for the Mono Evolver Keys Pot Edition instead of the desktop. The desktop has rotary encoders, which start to go glitchy after a while (unless you use the Evolver Editor software on a computer of course). I plan to get a MEK to replace or even complement my desktop evolver at some point.
