Re: TG77: best FM module?
I'll break ranks and say no, cool synth and all but goes way beyond the dx and kinda hard to find those sounds if that's what you are looking for. Sold my TG77 in favor of a TX802 since it was not "DXy" enough..

Re: vfx regulator overheating
whats wrong with just adding a big 'ol heatsink to the LM2925? Glancing at the spec sheet, it seems to imply that it is an all plastic to220 case, if they made a metal case one that would make for better heat transfer. It also looks like they made a TO3 version of that so if all else fails, just bol...

yup and that's that. You can sequence externally via rewire but you cannot do anything from reason beyond what is in reasonsupercluster wrote:

no.
106 = Midi
606 = Sync24 (clock only)
the two are not compatible without other hardware

I assume you are using the remote editor? Unless they made some huge changes for the SL, it is just click on the control and pick what you want it to do.

Re: Custom LEDs retro fitted to old synths (power reqs?)
Blue is way over-rated and harsh on the eyes. Look for a "diffuse" blue, dont bother with the clear blue, its a head ache in very little time. And yes, they draw considerably more current so plan on swapping out the current limiting resistors otherwise you will have quite a flash light..

couple extra things: Use DI/Distilled water, who knows what the mineral content of your tap water is. Simple green is a GREAT non-toxic effective cleaner

Re: Need help with a sequencer.
Hi, I play a Yamaha TX81Z synthesizer and I need a sequencer. You know Yamaha actually made something that was basically a TX-81Z with an 8 track sequencer built in. I give you, the TQ-5. Do not adjust your screen. http://www.vintagesynth.com/yamaha/tq5.jpg http://www.vintagesynth.com/yamaha/tq5.ph...

Re: Need help with a sequencer.
If you don't want to go the software route for sequencing the TX81z multitimbrally, you can look into any old or new workstation-style keyboards (they all have 8,16 or more midi tracks to record on). I owned a tx81z and got so fed up trying to find a good sequencer for it that I sold it off luckily...
