Thanks for that.

I hear Kaossilator and (I think) SK-1 in there. :)

Dieter Moebius has a recentish album on Klangbad, what I've heard of it sounded really good.

Re: Machinedrum UW + Monomachine VS Spectralis

The Spectralis does usually seem to sound great, especially the low end for some reason.

But I would want some convincing that it is actually usable without being frustrating or excessively obtuse. That's the other part of the equation.

Re: NEW DSI Tetr4 -4 voices of Mopho In a Box!

Yeah that's true but I think from a could-they-actually-release-something point of view even having a Linn / MPC style sampler and sequencer with four Mopho voices and step sequencers like this would be really really good, that's what I mean. Not intending the analogue voices to be dedicated to perc...

Re: NEW DSI Tetr4 -4 voices of Mopho In a Box!

Also I wonder if this might have some relation to the analogue side of the LDII. That's what I was thinking. LDII will need a board with a 4 voice analogue synth on it, it shouldn't be too hard to put that board in a different case and have it as a stand-alone synth. So, I think if they did combine...

Re: Blofeld OS latest version, bugs.

It can be annoying when you think about it but the fact is I manage to use the Blofeld just fine. It sounds good and mostly seems to do what it's supposed to. The only thing I've really had to avoid is mono patches that use glide, that can cause some nasty glitching stickiness, not in a good way. Oh...

Re: Blofeld OS latest version, bugs.

Yeah I know about the XTk. To be somewhat fair the company did cease, although that was five years after the XTk came out. The new Waldorf Music is a different company.

Re: Blofeld OS latest version, bugs.

I think it's normal for Waldorf to take a while to get the OS right. ;)

But they're a small company and they need to build their business up and survive so I can understand focussing on the Largo project for a while. Also I'd rather they get as much right in the next update as possible.

Re: Blofeld OS latest version, bugs.

I think it means they're busy. Of course it will be good when they can get around to addressing any of these issues. You can gather from the beta testers on the Waldorf user mailing list that Waldorf are aware of bugs, there is a list of known issues but it's not public. I've mentioned a couple of t...

Re: NEW DSI Tetr4 -4 voices of Mopho In a Box!

The UK price is very good I think. I'm actually a little bit surprised. One thing to remember about the DSI stuff is how good it is having those on board step sequencers. And something this has over the Prophet is it's four part multitimbral. I have suggested they introduce a model down from this on...

Have a look for a Greengate sampler, perhaps.

Re: Blofeld Vs. X-Station Vs. AN1x

lots of blofelds doing the rounds in second hand shops already..whys that i wonder. Is that really true? If it is consider that - a) they sell quite a few so a proportional amount will be available. b) it's cheap enough that it will have been an impulse buy for many. c) there's lots of stuff on the...

My guess is he's got a number of cases and other parts knocking about and wants to do something with them.

The resynthesis stuff is still very nice, but there is Alchemy for that now.

Re: NEW DSI Tetr4 -4 voices of Mopho In a Box!

Oh I shoulda cutted and pasted it.

I'd guess if the info has gone then DSI don't want to reveal all the details just yet so I'll respect that, there wasn't much there anyway. All looks pretty good though.
