there's all kinds of tricks used in dsp to get things done. In a single DSP-synth , the logic gates perform all sorts of different tasks. remember, you're not even using dedicated oscillators per se, but a % of the RAM and dsp available. I've found that I'm not overly fond of the filters' sound on the Q (naturally the Q+ has the analog filters in addition to the types on mine, so I can't speak to them).
