I haven't been impressed with any of the audio demos of the Wave. Nothing jumped out at me as being sonically new or innovative. The concept sounds wonderful but it seems they didn't finish it. The Nord series is IMO one red sexy beautiful piece of equipment but I think anyone looking at the nord w...

I would also like to add that Roger from Big City Music, is one of the most helpful and informative people you will ever buy from. Any question you have about a product, it's compatibility with your modular system, etc. he will be more than happy to answer for you. He's truly a great guy.

I don't know where to buy one from, though. The dollar value is so ridiculously low compared to NOK nowadays, I'll probably save tons buying one from the US. It would fit snuggly in the bottom row of my current system, it is nearly empty now. Here you go then! :D http://www.bigcitymusic.com This is...

The Solaris will do a LOT more than the VS. But if it's that true vintage character you're really looking for, then you might just have to buy the VS and be done with it. I recently was craving a PPG Wave, and that classic sound. I decided to find and try a Waldorf Microwave XT, and couldn't be happ...

What about power for the modules? What kind of sockets do the Cwejman modules use? Can you just plug them straight into an AS case? Power plugs right into the top rail of AS cases. It is Eurorack format, so AS, Cwejman, Doepfer, and a lot of others all work together. Plus, is the size uniform with ...

Why haven't they done that? USB, weighted keys, faders and the pitch stick!

They are awesome, and all it takes is a twist of the know to change them, that's great.

You can get basic kick, snares, and hihats out of a Juno 6. But you'll want external processing. Here are two examples done using a Juno 60: Unprocessed Juno 60 Drums Processed Juno 60 Drums The kick uses the self-oscillating filter, no oscillator. The snare and hihat are just noise with enveloped ...

50% of my drums are samples i make from my analogs. I looked at your gear list, I don't know what an ARP Odycake is, but if you have an Odyssey, that's a GREAT source of drum sounds. I use my ARP a lot for drums. Semi modulars (and full modulars) are the best source. Experiment, and remember, don't ...

Just got a Cwejman modular module, and...

Their build quality is astounding. Really, pardon the cliche, but this s**t actually is built like a tank. I got the VC0-2 RM to replace two of my Analogue Systems VCO's and it blows them away. The module is heavy as h**l, it weighs more than the two AS modules combined. The knobs are the most solid...

And I wish they could incorporate normal pitch and mod wheels instead. Really? As soon as I got my NL3 years ago, I started playing with the pitch stick, and became amazed from then on. You CANNOT bend notes on a wheel like you could on the pitch stick. I'm almost embarrassed to say that I hate pit...

i think the v synth stacks up better against it useable spec wise, including being able to work as a "modern d50" (h**l - i even have a d50 card for mine, so it can be a d50 if i want it to be), however if they ever incorporated their sampling capabilities into a nord modular g3 (and i doubt that w...

I bought one, and I am enjoying it, however I would like to point out some grievances. There are not as many sound shaping tools as the NL3. Nor can you assign as any modulations and controls as the NL3, so the Wave is not going to replace the NL3 for me as I planned. Hence I will be keeping the 3 a...

The cost of the Cwejman is nothing, when you look at other boutique high end modulars. I started an Analogue Systems modular not too long ago, and I really wish I would have found the Cwejman stuff before hand. In fact, I replaced two of my AS 95 oscillators with Cwejman ones. Simply put, the Cwejma...
