got to play a juno 60 and jx3p side by side at used shop, the juno was only $100 more, although the arp was fun and programming was a lot faster the overall sound and flexibility of the jx won me over. and now with the pg200 its a dream, and soon with the kiwi upgrade (!)

i have to really like the sound first and foremost, then features and interface. i really like to have a lot of versatility something that can do bass, pads, leads, percussion etc. unless its RIDICULOUSLY cheap then it doesn't really matter what it does or how it sounds. i just buy it, have fun with...
