Re: what part "plays" serependity or chance in your music ?
I like to mix several lfos into one or two destinations to create pseudo-sequences. I have a couple songs that I have recorded (and probably will never be able recreate 100%) where I match up a each lfo to make a very steady rhythm, and gradually start changing speeds and shapes and amounts to disco...

They did say if the project doesn't go through, your deposit will be refunded. So if it doesn't happen just think of it as a savings acount that doesn't earn any intrest.

Re: My EM-1 just blew up, I need a new drum machine
Well I ended up not getting any of the previously mentioned drum machines. We went to a local pawn shop, after being disappointed by the two major retailers, and stumbled across a boss dr202. It was cheap and actually a pretty neat lttle box. I like it better than the em1 for sure.

Re: My EM-1 just blew up, I need a new drum machine
the r8 seems like a good choice I would love to get the 606 but as a main drum machine i would need more memory. 32 patterns or wh ever just isn't enough.

Re: MFB-503 Drum Machine
I've been contemplating getting the 502 for awhile to use with my electirbe, so I could have some tweekable drums with analog goodness. But there haven't been to many reviews or demos of it. I will have to check out the demo later.

Re: spooky sounds for halloween
If you can, put a bright red light in the back of the modular so it shines through the cracks between modules, and through the jacks. thats just a great idea period! i always wanted a H.A.L. (ala 2001: a space oddesy) Module for my imaginary modular synth, basically just a big red round lamp in the...
