Re: I have an interesting trade coming up...hopefully!

Thank you guys! The trade took place yesterday. There was really no question about it in the end. The Prophet-5 is in good service hands right now and I'm picking it up on the next friday. The guy was really nice, he was a big fan of synth pop and had been selling off some of his stuff recently for ...

Re: Today's Best Value

Stringers. They look odd, have three sounds and are called silly things, but buy a proper analogue stringer and you'll never regret it. Part with them at your peril. No ageing poly will come close, and layering monos is for crazy middle-aged pedants.* Plenty of low-budget stringers going cheap, eve...

I have an interesting trade coming up...hopefully!

The last month I've been listening a lot to 80's stuff with great P5 players. I realized then that the Prophet '08, which I am very content with, doesn't really liveup to that sweet vintage sound one wants. I'm much for nostalgia. So I put out an ad in hope to trade the P08 for a P5, Jp-8, OB-X/Xa/8...

Re: Strangest thing you ever found inside a synth

There is a living grasshopper inside my Polysix. Gives it a great, natural buzz.

I also found a Moog Source inside my girlfriend.

Re: Andromeda A6 vs Minimoog

I really can't think of two others more different from each other than these.

A very old, classic, monophonic VS a huge, polyphonic, high-tech, complex synthesizer..

Re: In need of a rhythmic beast

Tried out the Vermona at last nights rehearsal and wow this thing sounds good. It cuts through the mix and all of the sounds are really hmm.. in lack of a better word, "creamy". The kick is great and the clap is wonderful. Hihats are great and I love the fact that you can tweak the sounds into nois...

Re: Nord Micro Modular

Hehe, thats true. But in general too Not offense, but I just wanna assure the non-Swedes here that the prices of used gear in Sweden is very high in general, in contrary to what Cable stated. Compared to US and U.K prices we are much higher. Nord products are never cheap, but this particular deal w...

Re: Any demos of the Octave Plateau Voyetra 8??

My favorite Voyetra feature is the chords in "Thieves Like Us" ARP Quadra strings and some Moogish bass (or Pro-One, not sure) and some lovely resonant Voyetra chords (that I've programmed to a certain similar sound on my juno106.. The strings and chords/pads on the original version are Quadra and ...
