Re: Little Brother CV/Gate question
With CV,GATE and TRIG IN all hooked up you should hear the oscillator at the audio output (although I'm not sure why it would use the trigger with no EG). Try checking the voltage rails on the power supply.

Re: ARP 2600 Power Cable?
You can order these new from mouser. They are made by a company called Volex, and are exactly the same. About $10. http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Volex/17952-8-B1/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMvl4Mm6MN%2fmBA9VsUl9Nkt%252b36ZXestJ%252bIw%3d While you're at it you might want to order a few 10uf caps rated 35V or...

Re: TR-909 scratchy claps?
If you're hearing an increase in volume when you turn the clap level pot then IC 28 is working. The level pot just changes the gain of this op amp by controlling the resistance in an inverted feedback loop. Sounds like something is messed up before this stage in the signal path.

Re: TR-909 scratchy claps?
If you have access to a scope, check the signal in and out to be sure it's the cause. BA662's can be a little tricky to find. People in the ladyada forum should be able to help you find a replacement, the xoxbox world has been hunting these down for a while now.

Re: Want to sell a broken ARP Odyssey
Depends on the cosmetic condition. I paid $900 for a broken one in near mint shape last week with a case. You could maybe get a little more on ebay, but somewhere in that range.

Re: ARP Solus sliders/faders?
There's a store in outside Boston that carries them called "You do it electronics." The slider shafts are bit longer and wider, but they could be trimmed.

Re: ARP Solus sliders/faders?
Sorry about that, I found a source of CTS sliders that have a black shaft and a smaller footprint if you think those might work.schmidtc wrote:I think they're the same as the odyssey

Re: Stupid or nonsense phrases from your synth's manuals
Arp 2600 Owner's manual:
“Don’t forget to TURN ON THE SYNTHESIZER. Often this is the reason why you get no sound out of it.”
Wasn't there something about penguins in a studio electronics manual?

PPC kits are hard to find, but they turn up on ebay about once in a while. Some mkII's have the knob, some have PPC.
