Re: Need feedback on mix! (I'm testing monitors)
yeah, gave up due to lack of time and there's no point in carrying on if others can make better stuff. I run a blog now though, posting articles is so much easier. I can understand lack of time and all but you shouldn't quit just because you think others does it better. For sure, I have felt like t...

Interesting A-ha history, with demo track and video!
While listening through the "Hunting High And Low" Remastered Deluxe album I took notice of a demo version of "Train Of Thought" on Disc 2. I was under the impression that I had all versions already but this one was new to me. First of all I think it is a great song on itself, and should definately ...

I'm speechless, it's so nice! Not only do you build your own polysynth, you also make music like a champion!adamstan wrote:Yet another recording. Time for some 80's synthpop

Re: Anyone using MOTU BPM ?
Strange.. If it can't output more than 16 bit, what's the use of 24 bit internal resolution..?
Otherwise it is good to hear that it's working fine on your system.

Re: 1492 flute'ish loop
I don't think Korg has released the 01/w as plugin yet, you're thinking of the M1 right? I have the newest M1 legacy with all the cards, including the T1 series. Maybe the sound exists in there. I have a strange feeling I have played with it myself sometime. By the way, here is the overview of all t...

Re: 1492 flute'ish loop
There was something about this sound that said "Korg!" to me. I knew I have heard similar textures from the 01/W so I googled for 01/w demos. And sure enough it is a 01/W preset! Check out the song "Serengetti" on this site: http://www.korg01w.com/enmp3.htm Or listen here, the song is on the demo fl...

Re: Anyone using MOTU BPM ?
Without having used it myself, I recommended it (based on reviews and articles) to my neighbour who runs a studio. He bought it but we had a lot of problems on his studio mac with Pro Tools 8. There was something about BPM that seemed to steal A LOT of CPU power, the program was choppy as h**l and c...

Beautiful music...
I too have heard this sound before, I think it sounds like some very fancy S+S / rompler preset. You can clearly hear it speed up as it transposes. Definately based on a loop. Of course it might be a sampler. I'll keep looking..

Re: Need feedback on mix! (I'm testing monitors)
I think it sounds great, very clear and crisp. Is this without mastering or with? Thank you multipack! I'm sorry I did not notice your post until now.. I only added slight compression on the master channel. When I used to make stuff, I could never get it as clear as you have done. Have you quit mak...

Re: What laptop should I buy for soft synths?
However, having to do PITA s**t like turning off wifi so your softsynths will run without latency, is not something that you will experience on a Mac. But that is not something you normally have to do. My previous PCs had no noticeable music latency problems while using the internet. There are SOOO...
