Re: I think my jupiter 6 is picking up radio stations?

Years ago, my dad ran a small business in the first floor of our house and we had a cheap little intercom system. Nothing professional though. But it picked up air traffic communications from the local control tower and from the jetliners 10 kilometers above, very clear and loud. Sometimes it was im...

Re: Pure 80s Disco Synth Theme!

Always a great track from multipack! Wow, that rhymed.. It sounds very nice in my headset, nothing wrong with the sound as far as I can tell. Awesome melody, beautiful sounds / patches, cool sequenced lines! The mood is unbeatable, this is seriously one of your finest.. I'm buying your CD when it is...

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?

.... if you don't mind buying second hand gear, you can get SO much just for the price of the UW upgrade. But I guess that generally applies for most new products anyway.... This I greatly agree with. Love new gear but there is a lot of great used gear to be had. I'm an MPC user as well as you. I h...

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?

Yeah, I agree it was maybe not a fair comparison. Still my point is if you don't mind buying second hand gear, you can get SO much just for the price of the UW upgrade. But I guess that generally applies for most new products anyway. Like I said, I would love to have the Machinedrum just for the fun...

Re: My Terminator theme remix, Youtube link

great remix! you can't beat the Terminator theme for pure post apocalyptic inspiration! I'm still a bit sad that they didn't use the theme for the "Terminator Salvation" movie. Brad Fiedel's theme is just awesome, Danny Elfman's "theme" for the new movie was nowhere near as good. It was basically a...

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?

I got my MPC2000 with maxed Ram and FX expansion in near mint condition for $370 in June, and the MPC is sturdy as a tank. No cheap plastic box here. At almost $1800 the Machinedrum UW IS expensive, and it is our right as free human beings to b***h about it as much as we want. And 2.5 MB memory? Wha...

You might wanna take a look at this before we can recommend any software/hardware solutions for you:

These are old videos but give a good explanation on how midi sequencing works:

Re: VSE 'Fictional Cop Theme' Challenge - VOTING OPEN!!!

"Detective" got mine. I can imagine a strung-out detective working on his last lead, and it takes him deep into the urban jungle of crime and filth. Very well made.

But I think all were good, and especially "The Erotic Couch" which I think has that 60's feel. Also "The Night Shift" is a favourite.

Re: About the JD-990 and JV-1080...

I have already built up a little library of my favourite patches, but I'm a little curious about the JV sounds from Pro-Rec. Does anyone have any experience with those? Are they good?

Really think they should have put a little effort in a demo or something..
