Re: musikmesse 2010 Frankfurt

I know for a fact that the Elektron will be purchased by me. I have been toying with the idea of an all Elektron set up, but with their lack of a dedicated sampler I have not bothered. I'm very excited about this, very excited.

Re: Anything better than a Jomox 888?

I was going back and forth with the 888 or machinedrum. I'm now debating greatly on using the 888 or machinedrum as a sound module and ...

Re: Advice for renting synths

I've done this a few times, I've been clear that you are not renting the synth/drum machine you are renting me. I've also been the guy sampling someone else's gear.

This maybe a dumb statement but it has been true in the past.

Are you using the individual outputs? It effects the sound dramatically

Re: Roland SH-2 vs Roland SH 101 vs SCI Pro-One

I've owned all three.....

I love that Roland sound.......

I'm not a fan of the SH-101, I love SH-2, and the pro-one is maybe the 2nd greatest mono synth to my ears....It's much deeper than either one of them.

Re: Help me choose... Pro One, Odyssey, or Source?

PRO-ONE~ key's are worthless, poorly built, afraid to move it ODYSSEY~the sliders are poor and can be a pain SOURCE~membrane can suck a*s, the one knob sucks I think the pro-one maybe the best out of three as far as overall sound, I am not sure what you are looking but the MONO/POLY as far as modula...

Re: Is it worth buying an 808 for £1400

Yes, it's the only piece of gear that I regret selling, I have samples after samples after samples but it's not like sitting down with one....

No, samples pretty much cover the basic sound and you can find them cheaper than £1400. (Someone on VSE grabbed one for 250 Canadian dollars)
