Re: Video from my set in Vancouver last weekend
Nice!!
I'm gearing up for a live PA myself. I just ordered a 2nd Revolution R2. I decided to leave my precious 303 at home. Hopefully the purists won't give me too much s**t lol.

Re: Which was your first music toy?
i always wanted my parents to get me the full size synsonics drum set from the sears catalog: http://www.wishbookweb.com/1985_SearsWishbook/images/SearsWishbook.1985EC.P595.jpg $800! That was serious cash back then. I'd like to get my hands on the synth module now... http://www.keyboardmuseum.com/pi...

Re: Anyone know what kind of sequencer is shown in this vid?
i didnt know that the QX-3 is a linear recorder... no looping or patterns or anything like that.
i'm very surprised such a powerful sequencer had such a major shortcoming.
of course, Yamaha made up for it with the RM-1x, killer sequencer on that box.

Re: USB Midi timing in the real world
Pretty interesting stuff. I'm using FLStudio with a MOTU Midi Express XT. Its not bad, but FLStudio can't put out a consistent MIDI clock for s**t. Any time I sync external delays to the computer's midi clock, they go apeshit constantly recalculating the delay from the slightly shifting BPM. I think...

same here.Jack Spider wrote:I had one of those wheezy Bontempi organs with chord buttons in the late 70s. It broke and was thrown out.
my first casio was a Pt-80, then a MT-100, then a MT-205. I also had synsonics drums. The poly-800 was my first "real" synth.

Re: is your analog synth alive??
I've never thought of VA's as "alive" either but the Creamware Prodyssey comes mighty close. Its a wild beast and can sometimes be a bit unpredictable. Its a great VA imo.

Re: One on One with genoQs Machines Gabriel Seher
Awesome interview. Gabriel really "gets" hardware sequencers and why people choose to sequence in hardware instead of fussing with a mouse and tedious software DAW's. griffin - my annoyance was at all the flash. once i figured out it was an "electronic magazine" and how to zoom and pan it wasn't so ...

Featured in this children's educational show:

The synth makes an appearance about 2:30 into the show, but, trust me, you'll want to enjoy the entire episode.
